We are a community of musicians that supports the establishment of safe and supportive work and school environments where musicians of all ages, genders, and races can thrive musically and professionally.
The Coalition of Musicians for Ethical Change was born out of the need to increase communication about and build support for finding solutions to the issues of unacceptable behaviors in institutions of classical music, and music education.
We are orchestra and opera players, freelancers, pit and jazz musicians who possess a great collective wisdom from our various experiences.
CMEC strengthens the musician ecosystem by equipping musicians themselves.
